The deceased was identified as Kundan Kumar (20). Those arrested were Mankunwar Devi (40) alias Khushboo and her lover Soma Oraon (41), both residents of Dhangaon Karamtoli village under Sadar police station limits in Gumla, police added.
Gumla sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Manish Chandra Lal said, “Kundan Kumar, a resident of Imamganj in Gaya district of Bihar, was working as a painter in Ranchi. He and Mankunwar would talk over phone. Later, they entered into a physical relationship. After sometime, Kundan began talking to the 20-year-old daughter of the woman. Enraged, she hatched a plan to eliminate him with the help of another boyfriend, Soma Oraon.”
