Gang of carjackers busted, 3 arrested

Gurgaon: Three persons, who are involved in more than 30 criminal cases, including thefs of luxury vehicles, murder, attempt to murder and loot in Haryana and Rajasthan have been arrested.
“On April 15, we got a complaint in Bilaspur police station from a cab driver that three youths boarded his car near Pachgaon Chowk and took him to different locations. Later, they thrashed him and fled with his car near Pukharpur village KMP underpass. Later, the accused rammed their vehicle in a dhaba and tried to kill the dhaba owner. A separate complaint was also made by the dhaba owner in Bilaspur poilce station. The dhaba owner had identified one of the accused, Monu, and two others," ACP crime Preet Pal Sangwan said.
He added that the matter was handed over to the crime investigation agency of Manesar and the team arrested Amit, alias Mota, on April 15 and Ajeet from village Nainwal on April 16. They were both produced before local court and were sent to jail. The main accused Monu (30) was arrested on Monday from Pachgaon Chowk.
Interrogation revealed the main accused had about three dozen cases registered against him in various police stations of Gurgaon.
Police said that the accused was already on the list of Bad Character of the IMT Manesar police station. His accomplices were sent into judicial custody while the main accused is being questioned.
