Stock market update: Power stocks mixed as market falls

NEW DELHI: Power stocks were trading mixed on Wednesday at 10:19AM

Indowind Energy(up 3.03%), Jyoti Structures(up 2.86%), KPI Green Energy(up 2.48%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(up 1.86%), NLC India(up 1.65%), RTNPOWER(up 1.61%), PTC India(up 1.46%), CESC(up 1.32%), Energy Development Company(up 1.18%) and Indo Tech Transformers(up 1.09%) were among the top gainers.

ADANIGREEN(down 2.70%), Adani Transmissions(down 2.40%), Inox Wind Energy(down 2.38%), Reliance Power(down 1.61%), KEC International(down 1.58%), Hitachi Energy India(down 1.20%), Adani Power(down 0.88%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(down 0.86%), NTPC(down 0.79%) and Karma Energy(down 0.57%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 27.0 points down at 17633.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 107.71 points at 59619.3 at around 10:19AM.

Tata Steel(up 1.86%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.55%), JSW Steel(up 1.45%), Axis Bank(up 0.81%), Hindalco Industries(up 0.75%), Bajaj Auto(up 0.67%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 0.64%), Larsen & Toubro(up 0.55%), Eicher Motors(up 0.44%) and Coal India(up 0.41%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Infosys(down 1.5%), HCL Technologies(down 1.46%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.05%), Wipro(down 1.03%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.98%), Asian Paints(down 0.96%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 0.92%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.81%), NTPC(down 0.79%) and Tata Consultancy(down 0.73%) were trading in the red.
