International Textile Machinery Exhibition (ITME) Africa & Middle East 2023 is set to take place from November 30 – December 2, 2023, at Kenyatta International Convention Centre, Nairobi, Kenya. The theme for the second edition of ITME Africa & Middle East is ‘Prosperity through Textile Technology and Engineering’.

ITME Africa & Middle East 2023 aims to transform the textile industry of Africa and the Middle East in the coming decades by opening up unlimited opportunities for business, sourcing, collaboration, and investment in the textile, textile engineering, ancillary, and allied industry. Along with promoting trade, investment, and creating a business-friendly environment and vibrant private sector, this exhibition focuses on working in partnership with the government, business community, and other stakeholders, organiser India ITME Society said in a press release.

The event is expected to open up an entire continent of new opportunities facilitating business connections with Ethiopia, Botswana, Egypt, Kenya, South Africa, Jordan, Burundi, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Djibouti, Eritrea, and other countries in the Middle East.

This edition of ITME Africa & Middle East has included several new chapters—cotton seed and cotton farming technology and equipment; machinery related to engineering products; home textile products; associated goods and services for the textile industry; and technical information services, educational research institutes, and COEs.

The tentative programme schedule for the three-day business event (9:00 to 17:00) comprises an inaugural programme, investment seminars, panel discussions, B2B meetings with business delegates, B2F meetings for financial solutions, B2G meetings with government officials from African nations, meetings with legal consultants for business visitors, technical seminars, and an India-Kenya fusion cultural programme and dinner reception.

The event is supported by India’s ministry of textiles and Kenya’s ministry of investments, trade, and industry.
