Hanjin Group donates KRW 500 million for Gangneung forest fire relief efforts

Hanjin Group has announced on April 18 that it will donate KRW 500 million for recovery efforts following the wildfire in Gangneung, Gangwon province.

The donation will be made through the Community Chest of Korea and is to be used for local relief activities and forest restoration.

Hanjin Group said, “We hope that those affected by the wildfire can quickly recover and return to their daily lives as soon as possible.”

Hanjin Group has been making efforts to fulfill its social responsibility by actively participating in domestic and international relief activities such as transporting emergency relief supplies to disaster sites, and delivering medical supplies and personal protection equipment to many countries including China from the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
