Goods worth lakhs gutted in blaze

Prayagraj: A major fire broke out at the store of a multinational herbal and ayurvedic selling products at Transport nagar under the limits of Dhoomanganj police station on Monday evening gutting goods worth lakhs. As many as 10 fire tenders were pressed into service to control the fire. Chief fire officer (Prayagraj) RK Pandey told TOI that the fire broke out at around 4pm and was brought under controll in three hours. The reason behind the fire was yet to be ascertained, however, a short circuit was cited as the initial cause behind the incident. tnn
