Carrier-locked Galaxy Z Flip 4, Z Fold 4 get April 2023 security update in the US

A couple of weeks ago, Samsung released the April 2023 security update to the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the US. However, the updates were limited to the unlocked versions of the phones. Now, the company has released the updates to carrier-locked versions of the phones.

What’s new with April 2023 security update on Galaxy Z Flip 4, Z Fold 4?

The latest software update for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 comes with firmware version F721USQU2CWCC in the US. The firmware version of the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is F936USQU2CWCC, and it is now available in the US. These updates include the April 2023 security patch that fixes over 60 security flaws. It might also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements.

The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is getting the update on the DISH Wireless network, while the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is getting the new software update on Metro PCS and T-Mobile’s network in the US.

If you have a Galaxy Z Flip 4 or Galaxy Z Fold 4’s carrier-locked version in the US, you can download the new software by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the appropriate firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually if you have a PC running Windows operating system.
