“The water supply of the area under the Ramtekdi water tank will be completely disrupted on Wednesday for emergency repair and maintenance work,” said Annirudha Pawaskar, Chief Engineer and Incharge, Water Supply Department. (Representational) As the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will undertake emergency repair and maintenance of the main water pipeline to Ramtekdi, the areas which get supply from the water tank will not get water Wednesday.
“The water supply of the area under the Ramtekdi water tank will be completely disrupted on Wednesday for emergency repair and maintenance work,” said Annirudha Pawaskar, Chief Engineer and Incharge, Water Supply Department.
The water supply will be restored on Thursday morning and will be at low pressure in the beginning. PMC has appealed to citizens of the area to cooperate.
Normally, PMC undertakes repair and maintenance work on Thursday but due to emergency situation it is been taken a day before, said a civic body officer
There are the areas which will be affected:
Ramtekdi Industrial Area, Sayyed Nagar, Heavan Park, Gosavi wasti, Shankar Math, Vaiduwadi, Ram nagar, Anandnagar, Hadapsar Gaothan, Satavwadi, Gondhalenagar, Sasanenagar, Kalepadal, Mundhwa, Malwadi, Left side of Solapur road, Keshavnagar Manjari Budhruk, Shewalewadi, B T Kawade road, Bhimnagar, Balajinagar, VIkasnagar, Koregaon Park, Oriental Garden, Sadesatranali, Mohammadwadi, Handwadi road, Phursungi, Uruli Devachi, Bhekrainagar, and Mantarwadi.
