On the other hand, TVS Motor Company(down 2.11 per cent), Hero MotoCorp(down 1.06 per cent), Bajaj Auto(down 1.06 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.68 per cent) and Bosch(down 0.38 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Auto index closed 0.07 per cent up at 13005.1.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 46.7 points at 17660.15, while the BSE Sensex stood down 183.74 points at 59727.01.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 0 ended in the green, while 0 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, IDFC First Bank, Suzlon Energy, BHEL and Reliance Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Ksolves India, Likhitha Infra, Aki India, Precision Camshaft and Camlin Fine Sc hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Party Cruisers Ltd., Nirman Agri Genetics, Avalon Technologies Ltd., Optiemus Infra and Udayshivakumar Infra hit their fresh 52-week lows.
