GURGAON: Residents of towers 1 to 9 of Central Park 2 have been a harried lot for the past many years as the builder — Shweta Estate— restricted their access to a central green space and club in the society.
However, agriculture minister JP Dalal on Monday directed deputy commissioner Nishant Yadav to visit the project and make arrangemnets to ensure access for residents within 10 days.
Residents of these towers had filed complaints against the developer at different forums, claiming they do not have access to the two areas of the project even a decade after getting possession of their flats.
At the grievance committee meeting, Dalal took note of the complaint and directed Yadav to visit the site and make arrangements for the access within 10 days after examining all documents as it is a single licensed project spread over 47 acres.
During the meeting, the minister also agreed that access like this can’t be denied to residents by the developer.
Lawyer Dharmender Sehrawat represented the builder against the complainants — RWA president Prabhat Bhardwaj , Tower 9 resident Sheilza Bhatia and Jatinder Kundu— at the grievance committee meeting held on Monday.
“There were no solid grounds for defending the case hence the minister instructed DC to check facts on the ground at Central Park 2 and make sure that the aggrieved party gets justice. There are 2,300 residents who are living in Towers 1-9 and are directly impacted with the restriction imposed by the builder,” Bhardwaj told TOI.
Bhatia alleged that the builder had also encroached upon the revenue road and blocked it by erecting gates which were demolished by the Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) last week. “Builder has re-encroached it and also blocked it again. This matter could not be taken up in today’s meeting due to paucity of time. However, we have informed the concerned authorities” she said.
The residents have also claimed that the developer revised the project plan in 2019, and the town and country planning department approved the same in 2021 without the consent of residents of Towers 1-9.
