Coimbatore: As many as 1,939 candidates are expected to take the combined defence services examination, which will be conducted by the union public services commission in the district on Sunday.
The district administration has made arrangements for the examination in six centres. Tahsildar-level officers have been assigned to each centre to conduct the exam. They will be assisted by eight deputy tahsildar-level officers.
There will be two invigilators in each room, one appointed by the district administration and another appointed by the centre supervisor. Phone jammers have been installed in all centres to prevent malpractice. Senior Union government officials will monitor the exam process.
Bus services from areas such as Ukkadam, Kavundampalayam, Singanallur, Sulur, Gandhipuram and Pollachi to the centres have been arranged for the candidates. They should follow Covid-19 precautionary measures.
