Atiq Ahmed shootout: Security tightened up in UP’s Prayagraj

The security in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj has been tightened up post mafia-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed’s shootout on April 16. The mafia-turned-politician and his brother Ashraf Ahmed were shot dead in Prayagraj on April 15. The arrested persons were being taken for medical by the police when the shootout happened. Section 144 has been imposed in all the districts whereas police flag marches are also being carried out at multiple locations in UP. Meanwhile, UP CM Yogi Adityanath also chaired a high-level meeting with police officials at his residence over the same.
