The Char Dham Yatra, one of the most important pilgrimages for Hindus in India, covers four holy sites in Uttarakhand. This year, the snow has started melting earlier than usual along the Char Dham route, which is a cause of concern for locals, as it could lead to a drinking water crisis in the region.Meanwhile, the administration is busy making preparations for the large number of devotees expected to participate in the Yatra. Repairing of roads along the route is a major part of those preparations.Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has assured that the state government has made arrangements to ensure a smooth and hassle-free Char Dham Yatra this year.
