KCA (Red) wins Spark cup
Kanpur: KCA (Red) won the Spark cup when they defeated Lucknow Cricket Association by 12 runs in the final of Dr Gaur Hari Singhania memorial state level women cricket championship on Saturday.
KCA (Red) batting first scored 161 runs in 35 overs. Shweta Verma (32), Tripti Singh (31) Ekta Singh (28) and Archana Devi (16) were the main scorers. For the Lucknow team Anshu Tiwari emerged as the most successful bowler claiming 6 wickets for 21 runs.

Lucknow XI in reply could collect 149 runs in 34.3 overs. Ayushi Srivastava was the main scorer and she hit 77 runs for her team.For the Kanpur team Archana Devi and Siddhi Singh picked 4 and 2 wickets respectively.
After the final match Sanjay Kapoor, chairman Kanpur Cricket Association presented Spark Cup and a sum of Rs 21,000 to Kanpur Red team.
The Lucknow team was rewarded with runners up and a sum of Rs 15,000. Prityanshi Yadav (Lucknow) and Archana Devi (Kanpur) were adjudged as best bats women and bowler of the championship.
Anshu Tiwari of Lucknow was declared and rewarded as player of the series.
KCA on this occasion felicitated Sharad Mohan Pandey for his contribution for women cricket in the district.
KCA officials, Rita Dey (former test player), Manju Sharma were present in the function which was conducted by Sanjay Tiwari.
