Govt signs pact for student internships

Bhubaneswar: The state government’s Mo College Abhijan has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the women’s wing of Ficci to offer on job training/internship to students from various colleges and universities.
The objective of the MoU is to offer internship to more than 200 students in two phases (summer and winter internships) in the fields of retail, fashion, steel and mines, IT and IT services, account and finance, beauty and wellness, digital marketing, online sales, food processing, energy, marketing, hotel, resort, healthcare, educational institutions and agriculture.
Internship will be provided for a period of 45 days, 60 days, 90 days or 180 days. The duration will be at the discretion of the recruiters and the nature of training. “On the completion of training, students will receive a certificate from the employers. It will help them for future employment,” said an official of Mo College Abhijan.
The first phase of the internship programme is open for all government college students from Khurda and Cuttack districts.
