Udhagamandalam: As part of bicentennial celebrations of Ooty, the district administration will conduct a ‘heritage walk’ through
Ooty town on Sundays from April 16 till May 28.
According to a press release, in a bid to celebrate the 200 years of modern Ooty founded by
John Sullivan, the then collector of Coimbatore region, in 1822, the district administration has planned heritage walk in Ooty town.
“The walk will cover Ooty Arts College, Adam’s Fountain, Assembly Rooms, Breeks School, Nilgiri Library, the district magistrate court building, St. Stephen’s Church and the district collector’ office,” said Umashankar, district tourist officer.
