Routes extensively decorated with colour themes

Varanasi: Preparations for the upcoming G-20 events are in full swing to welcome the foreign delegates in a grand way, as per the tradition of Kashi.
As per official sources, six G-20 meetings are scheduled in the city. The Agriculture Working Group meeting will be held from April 17 to 19.
The routes to be taken by the G-20 delegates are being extensively decorated with colour themes. Shops and houses on the passage for about 30 km have been painted with special colours to bring uniformity.
Varanasi Development Authority (VDA) Vice-chairman Abhishek Goyal said houses and shops on both sides of the road to the venues of the guests and Kashi Darshan have been painted with white and cream colours to bring uniformity.
About 2,000 structures, including houses and commercial establishments, falling on the route from Taj Hotel to Sarnath, NaMo Ghat, TFC, Airport, Cantonment, Rudraksh Convention Center, and Maidagin have been painted, the official added.
