JSR man dies by suicide after killing stepmother

Jamshedpur: A 36-year-old man killed his stepmother (63) and then died by suicide on Saturday.
The incident occurred in Leda village under the Ghatshila police station area. Police said Govind Hembram first killed his stepmother, Gula, with a sharp axe, went to his room and hanged himself from the log support of the thatched roof.
Ghatshila police station in-charge, Bimal Kindo, said according to the family members, the deceased man was not in a stable frame of mind for the past five days and might have committed the crime from depression,
Kindo also said Govind was suffering from high blood pressure and was taken to the rural medical practitioner by his parents two days ago.
On Friday night, Govind slept beside his elderly father. He was temperamental when arrived to sleep, the father said.
