NPS body wants municipal staff’s funds to be put in GPF
Jaipur: The New Pension Scheme Employees’ Federation of Rajasthan (NPSEFR) has demanded the contributions of employees of municipal bodies, amounting to nearly Rs 550 crore, which has not been deposited in the Centre's National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) as part of the New Pension Scheme (NPS), be deposited in the government’s GPF-SAB account.
The employees’ contribution under NPS (2004 to 2013) is still lying in the PD accounts of municipal bodies, said Mauji Shankar Saini, the additional general secretary of NPSEFR.
“This has become a legacy data on the part of the government. We have given representations to chief minister Ashok Gehlot and DLB director requesting them to deposit the money in the government’s GPF-SAP account,” said Saini.tnn
