10 dumped phones seized from jail

Ludhiana: Ludhiana Central Jail authorities recovered at least 10 mobile phones from the jail premises, which were found abandoned. Assistant superintendent of police at Ludhiana Central Jail, Gagandeep Sharma said that a special checking drive was conducted in the jail during which the security personnel recovered 10 mobiles abandoned in the jail premises. The ASP lodged a complaint with division number 7 police, following which an FIR under the Prison Act has been lodged against unidentified jail inmates. tnn
