UP: Security beefed up outside Atiq Ahmed’s house in Prayagraj ahead of arrival of Asad’s mortal remains

Security has been beefed up near mafia-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed’s house ahead of the arrival of mortal remains of his son Asad. Notably, his last rites would be conducted in Prayagraj today. Umesh Pal murder case accused Asad and his aide Ghulam were gunned down on April 13 in Jhansi. The encounter was carried out by UP Special Task Force. Atiq Ahmed is the main accused in the Umesh Pal abduction case and has been sentenced for a rigorous life imprisonment.
