In Mumbai, no flying objects - drones, paragliders, balloons, kites, and remote-controlled microlight aircraft flying activities - will be allowed from Saturday to Sunday midnight in parts of the city, police officials said. The activities will not be allowed in areas falling under Airport, Sahar, Colaba, Vile Parle, Kherwadi, Vakola, Bandra, Worli, Gamdevi, DB Marg, Marine Drive, Cuffe Parade and Malabar Hill police stations.
Shah will arrive in Mumbai on Saturday evening and will be staying at the Sahyadri guest house. Shah will leave for Goa after the function, source said.
Heavy vehicles coming from Gujarat have been banned for 36 hours between Saturday and Sunday on the Palghar district stretch of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad national highway. Light and emergency vehicles will continue to ply. Vehicles heading towards Gujarat on the highway will not be affected. Private vehicles, ambulances, fire brigade and government vehicles will be allowed to travel on the highway.
Similarly, the Raigad police have banned all types of heavy vehicles from plying along the Goa highway, old Mumbai-Pune highway from Kharghar to Sawantwadi in Sindhudurg district and also Mumbai-Pune Expressway.
