Stabber said nothing before before vicious attack on Upper East Side juice shop employee, says victim’s co-worker
The woman who repeatedly stabbed a worker at an Upper East Side juice shop didn’t say a word before her vicious attack, the victim’s coworker told the Daily News.
“She came into the store and stabbed my worker. She didn’t say nothing,” said Marina Fabela who also works at the shop. “She just stabbed the poor guy.”
The 39-year-old victim was working at Juice Island on Third Ave. near E. 61st St. at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday when the attacker walked in just as any customer would, Fabela said.
The woman stabbed the employee in the head, neck, back and hands with a knife she grabbed from the store counter, cops said.
The attacker took off on E. 61 St. and remains at large, cops said.
Medics rushed the worker to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he was in critical condition.
“He had to go to the hospital and get 18 stitches in his head and she cut the nerves in his arm,” Fabela said.
Police described the assailant as 20 to 30 years old, about 5-foot-6 and having a medium to dark complexion.
She was last seen sporting a pink or purple hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black and white sneakers.
Anyone with information in regard to the stabbing is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
