Vadodara: The local crime branch (LCB) rural busted a ‘tantrik’ gang that siphoned off money from people by promising them double returns. Cops said that four persons were arrested in this connction from Padra taluka on Friday.
The police said that based on information about the gang operating from the house owned by one of the accused Sultan Amer Malek, cops raided the houses and arrested the operators Kadar Khan Pathan, Keshar Singh Vaghela, Firoz Solanki, besdies Malek. It also seized Rs 1.22 lakh in cash from the spot.
The accused used to lure the victims by promising to double their cash by conducting black magic. They used to siphon the victim’s cash by diverting their attention, said cops.
