Ranchi: Ajsu-P on Thursday took out a ‘Nyay March’ in the city to press for its seven-point demands, which included enlisting of castes previously considered as tribals, in the ST category.
Ajsu-P president
Sudesh Mahto led the march from Bapu Vatika in Morabadi to the deputy commissioner’s office in Ranchi and handed over a memorandum to the administration. Hundreds of workers carrying party flags and shouting slogans took part in the march.
The other demands are land record-based employment policy, caste-based census, the inclusion of more castes in the ST list, implementation of the Sarna code, employment to youths, ending of the “loot” of the state’s resources and respect for those who took part in the Jharkhand statehood movement.
