Asad encounter: BJP lashes out at opposition parties for questioning encounter

The BJP on Friday said opposition parties were questioning the encounter killing of Asad Ahmed because they feel it will help them gain votes from the Muslim community. BJP National General Secretary Dushyant Gautam said Atiq Ahmed's son had 49 days to surrender but he didn't. In fact, the BJP leader claimed, Asad was planning to help his father escape. "Mayawati and Akhilesh are very well aware of this, but they think Muslims are fools, and that is why they give such statements," Gautam said.
