Theft and fraud convictions could net former Covington staffer up to 22 years behind bars
The former administrative manager of Covington's Public Works Department has pleaded guilty in Frankfort to federal charges of wire fraud and aggravated identity theft.
That's according to a press release from Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron, which says Allison Donaldson faces up to 22 years in prison and a $500,000 fine. No sentencing date was included in the release, which said Donaldson entered her plea on April 5.
The release also says Donaldson's guilty plea is part of an agreement it does not detail, but in which Donaldson waived her right to appeal her plea.
Donaldson was indicted last September by a federal grand jury that accused her of using Covington city credit cards to make more than $180,000 in personal purchases between October 2020 and February 2022, the release says.
The case was investigated by the Kenton County Police Department, an FBI task force and an auditor from the attorney general's office.
