2 Ulfa (I) militants arrested in state

Dibrugarh: Two cadres of Ulfa (Independent) were arrested in a joint operation launched by the Khonsa battalion of Assam Rifles in conjunction with Arunachal Pradesh police in Tirap district on Thursday.
The two insurgents were found hiding in Horu Chinghan village when they were apprehended during the counter-insurgency operation. The cadres have been identified as self-styled 2nd Lt Ranju Asom alias Himangshu Bhuyan (25) of Assam’s Udalguri district and self-styled private Orindom Asom alias Mahanta Baruah (33) of Margherita in Tinsukia district.
