The Nation's Weather for Saturday, April 15, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms could bring damaging wind gusts, flash
flooding and hail from far southern Wisconsin southward to
southeastern Texas tomorrow. That threat will shift eastward
overnight, running from southeastern Missouri to western
Kentucky, central and eastern Arkansas, western Tennessee,
northern Louisiana and much of Mississippi. A mix of rain
and snow will fall from north-central Nebraska to
northwestern Minnesota. Precipitation is not expected in
southeastern New Mexico and West Texas, and the dry
conditions and gusty winds will result in a high fire
threat. Warmer air will arrive in the West, and rapid
snowmelt can lead to flooding in the Sierra Nevada. The
highest temperatures will be found in South Texas, however,
where some locations could reach the century mark.
