RAJKOT: The police have recovered pieces of a decomposed body from Lalpari lake of Rajkot. It is believed that the victim may have been killed with some sharp weapon and probably for tantrik rituals as cops also found four lockets with pictures of lord Shiva. Cops found body parts from two different bags. Senior police officials have reached the spot while cops are yet to verify the victim’s sex, age and identity.
Four dupe woman of Rs 2 crore with cheap gold lure
Rajkot: Kutch police arrested four persons for cheating a woman of Secunderabad to the tune of Rs 2 crore by luring her with cheap gold. Madhapar police arrested Hanif Sodha (42), Jakir Sodha (23), Amin Sodha (22) and Gabha Sandhar (32) following a complaint registered by victim Shaileja Venkatesh. Four more accused in this offence are still at large. According to the police, these people had lured Venkatesh to provide cheap gold and made her send Rs 1.78 crore through Angadiya. Thereafter, another member of the gang contacted the woman and made her pay Rs 26 lakh more promising her to get back her money.
Duplicate RC book scam busted
Rajkot: Bhavnagar police busted a duplicate RC book scam and seized around 280 fake RC books and arrested four accused namely, Himansu Jagad (33), Yasin Meman (36), Afzal Meman (32) and Rutvik Modi (26). These people used to buy vehicles from the finance company in auction and sell them by creating duplicate RC books. According to the police, the accused do not wait for Free Registration Certificate (FRC), a process to issue new RC book by the RTO after auction of vehicles by the finance company.
