“How can we support murderers?...” AIMIM chief Owaisi on Asad Ahmed encounter

A day after the encounter of gangster-turned-politician Atif Ahmed’s son Asad and his aide Ghulam on April 13 by Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF), AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi while addressing a press conference in Hyderabad condemned the act and questioned that how can we support murderers. AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi said, “Questions are arising. Inquiry will take place as per Supreme Court guidelines. But I believe that the so-called encounter should not have happened. Umesh Pal and Raju Pal were murdered, our sympathies. How can we support their murderers? But there is a process, law, Constitution. Punish them accordingly. Who is stopping you? We are not supporting any mafia or don but we are against encounter.” “You are telling from the encounter that you do not have the right method of investigation. You are saying that you do not have solid proof. If you had all this, you would have caught them and punished them,” he added.
