“STF gave their all...” UP STF ADG Amitabh Yash on encounter of Atiq Ahmed’s son

A day after the son of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed was killed in an encounter with UP Police Special Task Force, ADG of Uttar Pradesh STF Amitabh Yash on April 14 said that the Special Task Force gave their all to this case as it was crucial. “STF gave their all. This was an important case. The murder of Umesh Pal by a mafia gang was an attack on the roots of the criminal justice system. If eyewitnesses are killed like this, no one will ever come forward to testify and the criminal justice system will collapse,” he said.
