A second Beaumont man has been arrested in connection to a double homicide on Monday morning.

Paul Edward Westbrooks, Jr., 30, was arrested Thursday in connection with the double homicide of Ahmad Hayden, 32, and Roven Dotson, 31.

The fatal shooting was reported around 2:15 a.m. from the 1800 block of Elgie Street. 

The first suspect, Dijon Ivory, 29, turned himself in on Wednesday morning to Beaumont Police Department, according to a news release from Beaumont police.

According to police, Ahmad Hayden, 32, and Roven Dotson, 31, were fatally shot during a home invasion and what officers believe was a targeted incident.

Westbrooks is being held on two counts of murder with a bond of $850,000, each, signed by Jefferson County Precinct 1, Place 1 Justice of the Peace Naomi Doyle Justice of the Peace, according to the release.
