PRAYAGRAJ: Family members of slain lawyer Umesh Pal on Thursday
praised Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath for ensuring justice. "This is a tribute to my son. I thank CM Yogi ji for delivering
justice and I appeal to him to give us justice ahead also. We have full faith in our CM," Umesh's 70-year-old mother Shanti Devi said.
She said that the family had been
banking on the Yogi government for justice all along, and they have got it. "Whatever happens next will be acceptable to us," she said.
Umesh's wife Jaya said: "I would like to thank the chief minister for ensuring and delivering justice today." She said that
CM Yogi was like her father as he ensured punishment for the killers of his daughter's husband (Unhone apni beti ke suhag ke qatilon ko saza dilayee).
"Justice is being delivered and we hope justice will be done in future also," Jaya said. Umesh's mother also thanked policemen for safeguarding their lives and helping the family in the time of crisis. "The local administration has been supporting us all through," she added.
The family, however, cautioned that there is need to be more watchful after the
killing of
Asad and Ghulam. The family claimed that
Atiq and his henchmen were dangerous, and they could retaliate in future. However, the family said that they have full faith in the Yogi government.
