Rise of separatists, fundamentalists unacceptable to Odisha: Giriraj Singh on Sambalpur violence

Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Giriraj Singh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed towards the development of Odisha. He also informed that his department has allotted a fund of Rs 26,000 crores for the growth of Odisha. While speaking to the media, he said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed towards the development of Odisha. My department has allotted a fund of Rs 26,000 crores for the growth of Odisha alone.” He also commented on the communal violence that took place in Odisha’s Sambalpur and said, “In a culturally calm state like Odisha, today separatist, fundamentalist people are raising their heads. On festivals like Hanuman Jayanti and Ram Navami, stones are being pelted at processions, this is not acceptable to Odisha and the country.”
