Two-day TSH swimming meet from April 15

Kanpur: Sports hub swimming meet will be organized by Kanpur Smart city limited at The Sports Hub (TSH) on April 15 & 16. During the two-day aquatic meet, as many as 72 events for various age groups including men & women will be held in which around 500 swimmers are expected to participate. P K Srivastava, director operations of TSH said, apart from 72 events, 4*25 metres relay and medley events for under-19 and above 19 years age group will also be held. This is the first occasion when any aquatic meet would be held under covered pool. A live telecast of all events on a big LED screen would be a great attraction. He said there would be free entry for economically week scholarship swimmers. The top three swimmers in each group would be picked for one year free training to prepare them for state and national level swimming meet.
Satish Mahana, speaker of the State Assembly, will inaugurate the meet while Navneet Sehgal will be the special guest.
