JAIPUR: Governor Kalraj Mishra on Wednesday signed the Right to Health (RTH) Bill that was passed in the state Assembly on March 21. With this approval, the Right to Health (RTH) Act became a reality in the state.
Soon after the Governor signed the Bill, the organisation of private hospitals said they might relaunch their protest if the conditions of the MoU signed between them and the state government are not followed in the framing of the rules for the RTH Act.
"Since the Governor has signed the RTH Bill into a law, it is expected that the state government will implement the MoU we signed with the government. If it is not followed or implemented, we will boycott all health schemes of the government across the state," said Private Hospitals and Nursing Homes Society (PHNHS) secretary Dr Vijay Kapoor.
Doctors of private hospitals had protested across the state for 17 days, keeping all the OPDs, IPDs and surgeries closed.
