Nagpur: In yet another shocking incident, a pack of seven stray dogs attacked a toddler in front of his house in Shivaji Park area of Anmol Nagar under Wathoda police station limits on Tuesday.
According to police sources, the toddler was playing outside when the strays attacked and started dragging the kid. A woman noticed the incident and hurled stones at the dogs and rescued the kid.
The incident has been captured on a CCTV camera, say sources.
“However, no information has been received from any hospital regarding a dog-bite victim being brought for treatment. So, the 3-year-old’s identity could not be ascertained,” Wathoda police said.
Dr Rao in judicial custody Sadar police have arrested Dr Sunil Rao in connection with electrocution of two labourers whom he had engaged for cleaning a well on his residential premises in Raj Nagar.
The deceased have been identified Shankar Arjun Uike (22) and Aman Ratanlal Markam (22, both residents of Siddharthnagar).
Aman and Shankar were removing silt from the well last Monday when they came in contact with electric wire supplying power to a pump.
Even before anyone could realise as to what was happening, both the labourers got electrocuted.
After the matter was reported to Sadar police, they had arrested Dr Rao. Later, Dr Rao was produced before a court which sent him in judicial custody. Further probe is on.
