GAIL shares drop 0.37% as Sensex falls

Shares of the GAIL (India) Ltd. traded at Rs 108.25 on BSE at 11:22AM (IST) on Thursday, down 0.37 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 83.0 and a high of Rs 115.63.

Earlier in the day, the stock saw a gap up opening.

At the prevailing price, the stock traded at 8.43 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 12.83 per share and 1.08 times its book value, as per BSE data.

A total of 417,792 shares changed hands on the counter till 11:22AM (IST). The stock commands a market value of Rs 71076.83 crore and is part of the Gas Distribution industry.

The scrip has been an underperformer , down 3.69 per cent in the past one year in comparison with a 1.22 per cent gain in Sensex.

During the day, the stock moved between Rs 110.7 and Rs 108.05.

Promoters held 51.52 per cent in the company as of 31-Dec-2022. FII and MF ownership in GAIL (India) Ltd. stood at 17.91 per cent and 7.63 per cent, respectively.
