“Our plan is to produce more than 30 crore bottles of IFFCO Nano Urea and Nano DAP till 2025-2026”, said IFFCO Marketing Director Yogendra Kumar while giving an interview to a YouTube TV channel.

He added, “Till August 2021 to March 2022, we sold up to 2.15 crore bottles of IFFCO Nano to the farmers and in the last financial year i.e. 2022-23, more than 2.75 crore bottles of IFFCO Nano urea had been sold and on an average 5 crore bottles of Nano Urea were used by the farmers in their crops”.

Kumar further added, “Earlier, only one plant at Kalol, Gujarat, was doing the production of IFFCO Nano Urea but from this January two more plants including Phulpur and Aonla have started the production. In the current financial year, we have set a target to produce more than 4 crore bottles and will distribute them among the farmers”, he added while sharing details about future goals and targets.

In the interview he said, “We run various awareness camps, seminars, workshops, and online training to spread information about the benefits of Nano Urea. We have taken the advantage of social media platforms to disseminate information. We are getting a lot of support from the Government of India as well as state governments and local administrations.

Answering the query related to the availability of Urea in states Singh answered, “Yes, there is no problem because the two PSUs are already setting up a plant and a few are in communication with IFFCO for setting up plants. Once the ecosystem has been created, this problem can easily be solved”.

Kumar also shared examples of a few farmers who used the Nano Urea in their crops and informed us about their positive experiences. There are countless success stories involving the use of the latest technology. Besides, Kumar touched on the spraying of nano urea through the drone.

The IFFCO Marketing Director thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, Union Chemical and Fertilizer Minister Mansukhbhai Mandaviya in promoting the IFFCO Nano Urea as a viable option for the country’s farmers. Kumar also highlighted the role of the IFFCO board and its Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi in this great achievement.
