SURAT: In a tragic incident, a 20-year-old youth from Nepal died after he was hit by a train while he was making a reel (short video) for his social media account on Tuesday.
Excited over witnessing a train for the first time in his life, Prakash Mangal BK wanted to make a reel on the railway track with his mobile phone. The deceased had reached the city earlier this week in search of work.
On Tuesday night, the deceased, from Kailashnagar village in Nepal, asked his elder brother Anil and his friends to take him to see train. In his complaint, Anil stated that Prakash was yet to see a train in his life and so they took him to the railway track below Satvalla Bridge.
They were accompanied by their friends from the Road No 61 of Sachin GIDC. At around 9.30pm, Prakash asked Anil to make his reel on the railway track. At the same time Gandhidham Express 22955 crossed the spot and hit Prakash.
