Kolkata Metro to run special midnight services for IPL spectators
KOLKATA: Kolkata Metro will run special metro services for IPL T-20 matches.
The special trains would start from Esplanade at 12:15am and will reach Dakshineswar at 12:48pm, Kolkata Metro rail chief public relations officer Kausik Mitra said.
For Kavi Subhash-bound spectators, another special train will start from Esplanade at 12:15am and will reach Kavi Subhash at 12.48am at night.
Mitra said that Metro booking counters would remain open at Esplanade station only for the sale of Smart Cards and tokens.
Trains to either direction from Esplanade will stop at all stations on their way.
Metro to run services on holiday on April 14
Metro Railway will run 234 services (117 UP and 117 DN) instead of 288 services on April 14 (Friday) on the occasion of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s birthday, a Central Govt. declared Holiday under NI Act.
First Service will start at 6:50am from Dumdum to Kavi Subhash (No Change).
At 6:50 am. from Kavi Subhash to Dakshineswar. (No Change)
At 06:55 am. from Dumdum to Dakshineswar. (No Change)
At 7 am. from Dakshineswar to Kavi Subhash. (No Change)
Last Service will start at 9:28 pm from Dakshineswar to Kavi Subhas. (No Change)
At 9:40 pm from Dumdum to Kavi Subhash. (No Change)
At 9:30 pm. from Kavi Subhash to Dakshineswar. (No Change).
At 9:40 pm. from Kavi Subhash to Dumdum. (No Change)
Services in Green Line (East-West) and Purple Line (Joka – Taratala) will remain unchanged.
