Eknath Shinde parted ways in fear of going to jail, alleges Sanjay Raut

Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) leader Sanjay Raut on April 13 alleged that Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde broke from the party and made alliance with BJP in fear of going to jail. While speaking to ANI, he said, “What Aditya Thackeray is saying is completely true, the present Chief Minister (Eknath Shinde) also said the same after coming to my house that he does not want to go to jail, you break this alliance. If the party has given you everything, then you should stand with the party. There is a pressure system going on all over the country but we need not fear. He (CM Eknath Shinde) said that he is afraid that he will be put in jail, he was afraid of going to jail. During that time ED action was going on against many such people.”
