Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 11:05AM

Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 14.63%), Madras Fertlizers(up 4.20%), Rama Phosphates(up 2.96%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 1.45%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 1.21%), KRISHANA(up 1.06%), G S F C(up 0.86%), ZUARIAGRO(up 0.53%), National Fertilizer(up 0.52%) and Coromandel International(up 0.44%) were among the top gainers.

Agro Phos(down 5.29%), Aries Agro(down 2.02%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.50%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 0.89%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 0.78%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.66%) and Sikko Industries(down 0.40%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 56.7 points down at 17755.7, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 212.12 points at 60180.65 at around 11:05AM.

Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(up 2.38%), Eicher Motors(up 2.09%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 1.52%), Nestle India(up 0.86%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 0.73%), Britannia Industries(up 0.67%), Asian Paints(up 0.62%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.62%), Bajaj Finserv(up 0.53%) and ITC(up 0.41%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Tech Mahindra(down 2.89%), HCL Technologies(down 2.52%), Infosys(down 2.21%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 1.68%), Tata Consultancy(down 1.67%), Wipro(down 1.53%), Larsen & Toubro(down 1.42%), IndusInd Bank(down 1.28%), Tata Steel(down 1.16%) and Hero MotoCorp(down 1.05%) were trading in the red.
