Short-circuit sparks fire, 2 school buses go up in flames in Gurgaon

GURGAON: Two school buses of a private school in Sector 45 caught fire due to a short-circuit on Wednesday afternoon.
“The school buses were parked in an open parking lot of the school and no one was inside the buses. First a bus caught fire due to a short-circuit which soon spread to another bus parked next to it. School staffers informed police and fire brigade immediately,” police spokesperson Subhash Boken said.
“The fire brigade team took more than two hours to douse the flames and control the situation. A big mishap got averted due to the alertness of school staffers, police and fire brigade teams,” Boken added.
