TIRUPATI: Bodies of a man and a woman tied inside a gunny bag was found in a well in Yerra Gangannapalli village in Chowdepalli mandal in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday.
Police fished out the bodies with the help of locals. Police suspect that the deceased were lovers who were killed by unidentified miscreants who later dumped the bodies in the well.
Police told reporters that the identity of the couple could not be established yet.
"We believe that the man could be aged 25 years and the woman should be aged 20 years. We are looking at all missing cases reported across the district in the recent times," Chowdepalli police added.
While the bodies were shifted for post-mortem, the Chowdepalli police registered a case and launched their investigation into the double murder.
