The actress married entrepreneur sameer Thakur on 25 march 2022. sameer is living in Africa for work. They recently came together to celebrate their first anniversary. In a conversation with ETimes, Munisha shared, “Sam (Sameer) and I celebrated our first anniversary on a cruise from singapore (Phuket) to Penang. The trip was planned and my mother, brother, sister-in-law, and nephew attended.

Talking about one year of marriage, she says, “Time has flown with sam and despite not being together for most of the year, it has been an amazing experience. sam is not just a life partner but a friend who has made life a lot easier. For me, he is my closest friend and confidant.

Munisha believes that long-distance marriages are challenging. She continues, "It is. Of course, it's upsetting to miss my partner's physical presence and his absence during critical times. There are moments when I desperately want to be with sam, especially in the low phase or when celebrating achievements. We mainly communicate virtually and I have to coordinate with him according to his events and availability. Still, my partner is incredibly friendly and understanding

She adds, “We have learned to adjust to being apart. Sam's career opportunities abroad are far greater than those he has acquired in India. In such a situation it is more beneficial for them to stay there. As his life partner, I have always been supportive of his decisions. What lies ahead for us, only time will tell." The pair are now hoping to reunite in July. She said, "I will be with him for his 40th birthday. I will fly to Africa and see if we can take a mini break. We try to meet three times a year."

She complemented her look with a pearl and crystal studded polki necklace, a matching choker neckpiece, a matha patti studded with maang tikka, a nath, golden bangles, and bangles.
