Filing of nominations to begin today

Dharwad: The filing of nominations for the forthcoming assembly election will commence on Thursday with the district election officers issuing the gazette notification.
Candidates can file nominations on all working days from 11am to 3pm at their respective returning officers’ (RO) chambers.
Dharwad deputy commissioner and district election officer Gurudatt Hegde said on Wednesday that April 20 is the last date for filing of nominations. The papers will be scrutinised on April 21.
The deadline for withdrawal of nominations is April 24. The final list of candidates in the fray will be known on April 24 evening. The polling will be held on May 10 and the counting of votes will take place at UAS, Dharwad on May 13. tnn
