AP: Wildfire erupts at Kailasagiri Hill near Srikalahasti Temple in Tirupati

A forest fire erupted at Kailasagiri Hill on midnight of April 13. The wildfire created panic at the Hindu shrine Srikalahasti in Andhra Pradesh. Local administration and temple authority alleged that anti-social elements triggered the forest fire. Efforts are on to douse the fire. Temple Chairman Anjuru Srinivasulu stated that the fire erupted very close to Srikalahasthishwara Devasthanam Lobhavi (Bhardwaja Theertham) Gosala. “We will bring it to the attention of the MLA and take steps to solve the problems. We have to identify how the incident happened,” said Anjuru Srinivasulu.
