Sarangi fumes over not getting invite
Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar MP and BJP leader Aparajita Sarangi on Wednesday expressed her displeasure over not getting an invitation to the 75th Capital Foundation Day celebrations on Thursday. In a post on Twitter, Sarangi showed the invitation card where her name is not mentioned and also the letter she had sent to chief minister Naveen Patnaik last year for not being invited to the function. “Is this intentional?”, asked the MP on the micro-blogging site.
“On 75th Capital Foundation Day tomorrow, the state government, Odisha and Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation choose not to invite the elected member of Parliament of Bhubaneswar!,” she tweeted.
Pradosh Patnaik, president of the Rajdhani Pratishtha Dibas Committee which started celebrating the foundation day in 1989, said he is not aware of the MP’s omission.
